Next Monday US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia will give a talk entitled “The application of United States law abroad” at the University of Zurich. Scalia was appointed by Ronald Regan in 1986 and is known as very conservative. His estimated ideal point for 2009 (Martin-Quinn scores) shows that he is the second most conservative justice after Clarence Thomas:
